Hello friends, Namasthe, welcome back to my
channel. Today I want share another breakfast recipe
of millet, masala Neeru Dosa. Neer dosa is the traditional preparation of
costal Karnataka. Masala Neeru Dosa is the slightest alteration
of neer dosa. Let us prepare masala Neeru Dosa with millet. Here I have taken one cup of Kodo millet or
Haraka .You can use little millet or saame instead of haraka.Wash it thoroughly and soak
it in water for 6-8hrs.After 8hrs transfer it to blending jar ,add 1/4 cup of grated
fresh coconut, 1spoon of coriander seeds, 1spoon of cumin seeds, and red chillies according
to your tolarance. Here I have taken 2 red chillies. Add little water and grind it to form smooth
paste. Now transfer it to a large bowl. In water dosa or neer dosa the batter should
be like water. So the name neer dosa. We have to add water by checking the consistancy
of batter. Slowly we have to add water. Usually in water dosa millet and water ratio
is 1:2.Here the batter consistancy is almost like water. This is the perfect consistancy of the batter. Add powdered rock salt to taste. And half cup of finely chopped curry leaves. Mix well. In water dosa because of more water solid
parts settles at the bottom. So we have to stirr properly. This is the perfect battermix. Now heat cast iron tava on medium flame. Cast iron tava helps for the better absorption
of iron. Now Apply gingelly oil properly. Again stirr the batter. Every time before making dosa we have to stirr
the batter. Take one laddle full of batter, and splash
frrom a height like rava dosa. Thinner the dosa consistancy of the dosa will
be better. Cover the lid and cook for one minute. This dosa does not require any fermentation. Now dosa is cooked. Here we are cooking only on one side.seperate
the sides first and filp gently. Put it up side down on a plate, and fold like
this and again fold. Repeat the procedure. We have to clean the tava properly, apply
gingelly oil, stirr the batter to prevent sedimentation. Take one laddle full of batter and make dosa. This dosa is good for all age groups especially
for diabetic ,hypertensive and obese people.This dosa will be soft even after hours of preparation
so it can be used for lunch box also. Serve millet masala Neeru Dosa with any chutney
of your choice.
