Is Usana Good For Diabetes?

Hello, I’m Ty Mason from TheDiabetesCouncil.com,
researcher, writer and I have type 2 diabetes. Today I’m going to answer the question, is
usana good for diabetes. But before we get into that, make sure you
download my free diabetes management book which also includes a diabetes grocery shopping
guide (foods to eat and avoid) by clicking the link below. You know the drill by now if you watch any
of our videos concerning something that is not commonly known. I had never heard of Usana before getting
this question. So I decided to visit their website to see
what they say about the supplement product. The following is taken directly from usana.com
Usana is the brain child of Dr. Myron Wentz who had a vision of a disease free world. He believes all of the healthy problems are
due to the lack of nutrition. Dr Wentz served as infectious diseases specialist
and directed the microbiology and immunology laboratories for three hospitals in the Peoria
area. In 1974, he launched Gull Laboratories and
in 1977, many of his viral diagnostic assays where finally FDA approved. In 1992, Dr Wentz sold Gull Laboratories and
the birth of Usana Health Science as we know it came about that same year. But Usana is more than a supplement, it is
also a “money making” proposition for those who want to sell their product for them. Which looks much like a pyramid scheme to
me, but I was not asked that question. I found many claims by those who sell the
products of Usana that it can actually cure diabetes. Others use the more PC term “reverse”
diabetes. So I looked for any scientific studies to
prove this other than those performed by Usana themselves and found none. Usana has a variety of different products,
51 was the last count I could find. The main claim to help diabetes was a product
called “Usana BioMega” which is Vitamin D and fish oil. If you want to try Usana you may want to either
be rich or get a bank loan. Usana BioMega will set you back about 50 cents
per pill. I found several supplements with very similar
if not identical ingredients for about 3-5 cents per pill. Is Usana good for diabetes? In my opinion it is no better than any other
supplement out there. If you wish to try it, please consult with
your health care provider. I hope this answered your question is usana
good or bad for diabetes. Don’t forget to get your diabetes management
book by clicking the link in the description box below. Let me know if you have any other diabetes
related questions. Thank you
I am Ty Mason
