Healthy Tension and Healthy Support

Healthy Tension and Healthy Support

My name is Adam Rawlins I am currently the
director of customer experience here at PacMoore my career started in April of 2007 there are
lots of things to enjoy as an employee at PacMoore one of my favorites is just the challenge
of a new day I’m not that I’m really not the prototype that can kind of go in and run a
routine the same thing every day I need a little more excitement I need a little more
diversity and as a contract manufacturer or a manufacturer in this industry that is that’s
a very common reality each day so I love coming in and watching a scenario unfold we have
an urgent request from a customer Wow we can’t fit it into the schedule but what can we move
around how come we cannot how can we accommodate this customer what solutions can we offer
and just watching individuals come together and some solutions come from the most unlikely
places and that’s when you really can harness a team you build trust you build confidence
and individuals to use their voice when they have ideas that’s one of the greatest things
about working for PacMoore is to be able to engage in a team effort like that teamwork
is another aspect that is enjoyable to PacMoore it is the ability to watch a group come together
recognize each other’s gifts and be able to to sacrifice sometimes for the benefit of
the group so there’s certain gifts that I have in certain gifts that I don’t have and
so what’s nice is to have a enough trust within a within an organization that when it’s not
your thing that you call that out and say hey this is we need this this is somebody
else’s gift and let’s let’s point to them PacMoore establishes a foundation that is
very very efficient at creating teams like that because we don’t we don’t like gossip
we don’t like there to be divided amongst our employees we believe in EQ many times
over IQ if you will so individuals that learn how to work together to share together conflict
is not unusual we don’t mind tension at PacMoore sometimes there’s a healthy tension that goes
on but what we don’t like is when that tension goes unresolved then it becomes a that then
divides the group you have gaps you have individuals working in silos so we have a nice foundation
for individuals to start engaging with each other having the elephant in the room conversations
so that they start to build trust with each other it’s a great aspect another aspect that
is great to work at pact more is just the ability to mentor to coach to develop individuals
and just meet some needs be an ear for them we have a lot of great stories that have come
through this plant some folks are really good with this and some folks aren’t it’s it’s
but I happen to enjoy the fact that I can go out on the floor and engage in a conversation
with an employee that maybe is having rough times maybe need some solutions and you know
what maybe I’ve been through some of those so I can offer some solutions to that employee
so that’s the employee aspect of it Mr. Moore has given a speech a few times about what
it means to love employees and if you haven’t ever looked at these you ought to look up
these videos but his the dynamic and his voice and in his posture and his body language about
what it means to love employees really love employees is motivating it’s an invitation
to all of us that work it back more and it’s one of the elements that keeps me here I enjoy
that aspect each day I love that employees have trust in conversations with me and I
love seeing their life become better and better as a result of that kind of relationship that
kind of fellowship you
