Do You Hear That Heartbeat? | Week 25 of Pregnancy

(upbeat music) – You know that guy in
neighborhood coffee shop who only drinks imported
brew and wears a fedora, and thinks he knows everything? Well I bet he doesn’t know that this hat is the same size as your baby at week 25, boom. Or that your baby can
touch and hold her feet, has a regular sleep schedule, and your partner might
even hear the heartbeat if they put their ear to your stomach. Old fedora can put those little nuggets of info in
his e-cig and smoke it. (upbeat music) Here are some handy tips
for starting your registry. Make a list, then ask a
friend or a family member who’s had a baby recently, what their absolute must-haves are. Check yourself. Know how much stuff you can
really accommodate at home. Read the fine print. Know the stores return policy. Save gift receipts, just in case you end up with duplicate items or realize you don’t
actually need something. Revise frequently and
encourage gift sharing. If a friend or a family
member is done having kids, but their stroller is
still in great shape, snap that up. Just make sure to check for any (mumbles). Safety first my friends. (upbeat music) Why does my back hurt so much? Biomechanics. Because you’re carrying
all that extra baby weight your center of gravity shifts forward and puts more strain on your lower back. Hormones. In the first half of your pregnancy the surge of progesterone in your body loosens and relaxes the
ligaments and tissues that are going to stretch as you grow. Then, during the second
half of your pregnancy, relaxin helps the ligaments between the muscles of
your pelvic girdle open to make room for the baby to pop out. Basically hormones loosen everything up, and cause instability in all your joints, especially your back. And lastly, stress. Pregnancy can be stressful. And stress increases tightness
and muscle pain in your body. I’d tell you to relax but that usually just causes more stress. Oo, it’s happening already. Ah, my back, I’m a robot now. Beep, barp, boop, barp. (upbeat music) People love to give pregnant women advice, even when they didn’t ask for it. Here’s your daily dose
of unsolicited advice. Book a standing appointment
with your waxer now for the last trimester. There’s no way you’re gonna be able to reach a razor down there yourself. I’ve tried it. This is very awkward people. I don’t think this is safe. I’m pretty sure this is not a regulated razor. I also think I pulled a hammy just now. Anyone wanna try this out? No, no takers? Oo. (upbeat music) There’s a lot of stuff
you’re expected to give up when you’re expecting. Join me now in a moment of silence as this pregnancy pause is
dedicated to scuba diving. Shout out to scuba diving, I mean. I’ve never done it before, but the fact that I can’t
do it while I’m pregnant makes me wanna do it more! ‘Cause that’s how that works. Get me those snorkels and that tank. Actually that sounds terrible. (laughs) I, yeah. (upbeat music) If you are too fat right now to get up off your couch, I’m right there with ya, join me next week and every week. New videos, like, subscribe,
share with your friends. It’s fun, do a little
dance, eat some ice cream. Enjoy yourself.
