Four hours and 6 minutes trip, 413 km – Let’s go! It’s 5 o’clock now, we’re about an hour on the way. Now coffee break! Hello, two regular cappuccinos to go, please. All of it? Gladly! A very, very short coffee break so Markus doesn’t fall asleep. So that I don’t fall asleep. Now it’s on to the freeway! Okay, coffee break is over, 5:27 pm, 359 km to the hotel. 7:56 pm, we drove past Klagenfurt now. We now have exactly 87 km left to the hotel. It’s now pitch-black outside, but it’s time to think about what the plan is for today. Point one: Check in. Point 2: Get skiing gear for tomorrow. And point number three: Hopefully get dinner. It is shortly after 9 o’clock in the morning, we are already on the slope and today is no normal skiing day. Today we have a very, very special ski instructor! He has won in Kitzbühel, he has won a world championship medal and he is Olympic champion. His trademark is the green helmet. I think I really don’t need to say any more. Today on schedule: Skiing day with Olympic champion Fritz Strobl. We’re at a little kids’ race like this now. Fritz Strobl, my ski instructor for today, is the forerunner of the children’s race. That’s why we’ll wait here, then we’ll go on. I’m skiing for the first time in 18 years. So far everything is fine. He’s been doing his bit to get Olympic gold. If anyone can beat him, maybe Friedl can, who the green helmet, the grass green helmet, has already brought good luck. Wait, he’s even faster. Yeah, is he crazy again today? We just picked up our ski gear, our ski equipment. We’re going straight out of the hotel here. and about 50 meters ahead of us is the runway. That’s the absolute best thing about this hotel. Like I said, it’s a bit of a chaotic day. Why a chaotic day? We started a short hotel tour today. Now quickly on the slope, so that we can use the absolutely fantastic weather again. Ready, 2nd day, 1st departure – Let’s go! There’s the hotel down there. There we go now again. We’re in the middle of the slope. I stopped for a moment to show you something. Take a quick look. This is our hotel and now very short Freeze Frame: This building is the Falkensteiner Hotel Carinzia. There’s the exit from the ski rental that’s inside the hotel. And right next to it, the big building, that’s the bottom station of the gondola. It’s a 25-second walk. Day 2, it’s 6:44 p.m., Markus and I both lay down for an hour. We were really done. Now, let’s go to dinner. By the way, I generally have the feeling that I have not addressed the topic of food enough so far. I promise I’ll catch up tomorrow. We’re back from dinner, it was too much again. I am absolutely full, but I was also sensationally good. It’s about half past ten now, we’re both exhausted. and we’ll be right down. Tomorrow there will be some things on the plan: Point number one: threatening flying, point number two: massage, point number three: spa. That’s why we’re going to bed. I said yesterday that I wanted to focus more on the topic of food. That’s why I’m trying to be the first one at the breakfast buffet. Let’s have a look. Even though the tiredness is still brutal, I managed it. I’m actually the very first one at the breakfast buffet. And honestly? Is there anything better than a breakfast buffet? Take a look at this! The one with the plate was just really, really, really close. We now have relatively good light, we will now try for the first time to let the drone fly out of the hotel room and then almost once to the front so that you can see us and the ski slope in the background. Let’s see?! I never thought this would work out so well. What I want to do now is a hotel tour. Almost once show what the hotel can actually do everything. The construction of the hotel is totally fascinating. It goes among other things fully far upward, but evenly also but also relatively far down. And here, here we are in the lobby area. And the lobby is virtually the central starting point for everything you want to do in this hotel. And over there, there’s the spa area and right there, we’re looking now. And before we go to the spa, of course I have to… change clothes! Now I’m adequately dressed and now it’s really off to the spa area. And the stress goes on. Because I have to make sure that I am on time at 12:30 at the massage. Not surprisingly, the spa area is also absolutely luxurious. The pool alone is absolutely amazing. So, Mr Gruber? – Yes.
